I write my poetry Arabic English.

Try to read it and be happy .

My troubles will meet and mesh

and my smiles will be chubby .

I translated all my verse

to express my own views .

Don't pay for them any pence .

Two languages wanted to fuse .

عربي إنجليزي أنا هكتبها

أتمنى تقراها تِفرفَشْ

هِموم كِتيَرة تِكونْ فيها

و الضِحكََة جِواهَا هَبَوشْ

يمْكِنْ تِعبّرْ عن رأي

هَكتِبْ أترجَمْ رُباعِياتْ

إتنين في واحِدْ وَفْر كِتيرْ

إن شالله بقى حَدْ ما حَوّش

A sheatfish told his son
to follow him and eat .

He warned him with a fun

with bait not to meet .

A fishing-net was sent

to catch all of them .

The fish cried in the net:

"Our leader is fool and dim ."

قرموُطْ يقول لِلسَمكْ

إمشي وَرايا وِكُلْ

قال لابنه راحْ أعِلمَكْ

لِلطُعمُ إوعَى تِطُل

و فَجأة فُوقهم شبَكْ

مُصِيبة جَت عَ الكُل

زَعَقْ السَمَك في الشبَكْ

طِلع كِبيرنْا دُهُل

I got mediation seeds

so as to grow the land .

I want to get the deeds

to keep them in the hand .

I don't need to moan

if I served the young .

I must repay the loan ,

Bad seed is a wrong rung .

أنا جبت لِب الكُوسَة

و حِلفتْ أخضّر غيطْ

عَ الكُل هَبْعَتْ بُوسَة

وأعمِل أبو النُطْيطْ

أخدِم ريحة الحبايب

و يذيعْ ما بينْهُم سِيط

شَرِيتْ الِلب مَقلى

وطِلِعتْ أنا إللي عَبيطْ

The doves laid on the wedge .

The lion was afraid of the cat .

The raven sang on the bridge ,

and the bulbul's chant was mat

Honest is easy and firm

to find the wolf a herder of sheep.

The white egret befriended the worm

and peace was settled and deep

باضْ الحَمَامْ عَ الوَتَدْ

و القُط ذل الأسَدْ

غنى الغُراب مَوال

مَغْنى البَلابل نَكدْ

و الدِيب بيرْعى الغَنمْ

حُبْ الأمانة إتوَجَدْ

و الدُودْ لأبو قِردانْ

في سَلام يعيش لِلأبَدْ

Oh dog: Who gave you a bone ?

What do you need and intend ?

Your deficiency had come on

And taught you to harm a friend .

If you see a lot of bones ,

you will run to move your tail .

The cat will prison you in cones .

You become low and may fail .

يا كَلب مين مَسكَكْ

عَضمة بتِشفي غليلْ

نَقْصَكْ كَمان عَلِمَك

أول مَا تِأذى خليل

إن شُفتْ عَضمْ كِتير

تجري تِهز الدْيل

للقُط تُبقى أجيرْ

تُبقى لِعضمة ذَليلْ

You are a cat not a kitten

Who dandled you at the house
Now, your politeness is written

and you got disgrace by a mouse .

Where is the dog to curb you ?

Try to know you are the cat

and be careful when you do .

You are cursed because of the rat .

يا قُطة مين قَطقطِك

و مِدلَعِك في الدار

الوَقت فار أدِبك

جِبتيلنا ليه العارْ

الكَلب فين يُشْكُمِك

يكويك يوم بالنار

و الكُل قام يلعَنِكْ

عَلَشانْ صَاحبتى الفار

The white ass is hard to please .

He stood up and forgot the fears .

He moved eye brows to tease .

No wonder if he breaks up the ears.

He wanted to work in a big trough.

Among the asses , he'll be bold .

He will be a donkey , that's enough

and will be formed in a big mould .

الجَحشْ لَبْيَضْ وِقف

مَبسوُط بيتعاجِب

طَرطأ وِدانُه لِفوق

بيحرَكْ الحَاجِب

مَدود كِبير يشغِلُه

لِجحُوش كتير غالِب

بُكْرَه هَيُبقى حِمارْ

يتْصَب في القالِب

The donkey shouted at the lion

as if he were a true fool .

He hoofed the ground as a coin

and dusted the lion with a pool .

The donkey cried and brayed

and plucked out as a turkey .

He continued and played

forgetting that he was a donkey.

شَخَطْ الحِمارْ في الأسَد

و عَقلُه مِنُه طار

ضَرَبْ بحَافرُه الأرض

عَفّر عليه بغُبار

بِصوُتُه زعّق نَهَقْ

خلاّه يشعلَل نار

ساق الحُمار فيها

و ناسى إنه حمار
